Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister A.M. Fachir is conducting a working visit to Hong Kong to meet Indonesian society there, among others.

The deputy foreign minister`s working visit was noted in a written statement through the official Twitter account of the Foreign Ministry in Jakarta on Monday.

Fachir began his visit to Hong Kong by meeting the Indonesian society in Hong Kong, including musician, dancer, writer and defense athlete communities.

The deputy minister also visited Victoria Park and the immigration and consular service facilities in the Indonesian Consulate General office in Hong Kong.

On the occasion, he conveyed four priority strategies -- services, protection, coaching and empowerment -- in the handling of Indonesian migrant workers.

This is in line with one of the priorities of the Indonesian government`s foreign policy under the leadership of President Joko Widodo, i.e., the protection of all Indonesian citizens abroad, especially migrant workers.

During his visit to meet Indonesians in Hong Kong, Minister Fachir encouraged the Indonesian community to maintain the positive image of the nation and offer wider benefits for the people in Hong Kong.
