Tangerang, Banten, (ANTARA News) - I Gusti Ngurah Askhara Danadiputra, intimately called Ari Askhara, has been named president director of national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia succeeding Pahala N Mansury.

Askhara was assigned Garuda president director based on the outcome of the company`s shareholders extraordinary meeting held at the airlines office in Tangerang, west of Jakarta, on Wednesday.

Previously, he served as president director of port operator PT Pelindo III and held the post of finance and risk management director at the state-owned airlines during the era of President Director Arif Wibowo.

Ari Askhara was known to have sit in the board of directors in a number of companies from 2013 to 2018, namely ANZ as head of Natural Resources, then as Finance Director of PT Pelindo III, then Director of Finance and Garuda Risk, then Director of Human Resource Development of PT Wijaya Karya and finally in 2018 he is as Managing Director of PT Pelindo III.

Other directors for the airlines are Commercial Director Pikri Ilham Kurniansyah, Director of Business Cargo and Development M Iqbal, Operations Director Bambang Adi Surya, Director of Finance and Risk Management Fuad Rizal, HR Director Heri Akhyat, Technical Director I Wayan Susena and Service Director Nicodemus P Lampe.

Meanwhile, chief commissioner or independent commissioner is Agus Santoso, Independent Commissioner Ismerda Lebang, Independent Commissioner Herbert TP Siahaan, Commissioner Muzaffar Ismail, Commissioner Chairal Tanjung and Commissioner Luky Alfirman.
