Jakarta (ANTARA News) - British Junior Minister for Economics John Glen has met Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani to discuss the Brexit process.

"Indonesia is considered an important country; therefore, they are here to discuss the situation," Sri Mulyani stated here on Monday.

She stated that the British government has stressed that London remains attractive and competitive as a world financial center, and therefore, cooperation with Indonesia needs to be maintained and strengthened.

Meanwhile, Glen stressed that the British government remains open to other countries despite its relations with the European Union in the process of changing.

"We remain a hub and center for global finance. That does not change," he added.

After visiting Indonesia, Glen will visit Malaysia and Japan to inform about the Brexit process, while emphasizing Asia?s importance for the British economy.
