Kuala Lumpur, (ANTARA News) - Indonesia stepped into the U-16 Asia Cup quarterfinals after they played to a goalless draw against India in the group C final match at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.

With the goalless draw, Indonesia confirmed it would lead the group with five points from three matches, while India qualified for the group of 8 in second place, also with five points from three matches.

In the quarterfinals, Indonesia will take on the runner up of the group D on Monday (Oct 1) at Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

In the group C final match against India, Indonesia fielded the Amiruddin Bagus, Sutan Zico and Mochammad Supriadi trio in the front line.

Supriadi again played for the Indonesia team, after being injured in the 87th minute of the second match against Vietnam on Monday (Sept 24).

The match against India was the first chance for Sutan Zico to play from the first minute at the U-16 Asian Cup. Zico scored a goal, as Indonesia and Vietnam played to a 1-1 draw.

Indonesia`s U-16 national football team is made up of Ernando Ari, Amiruddin Bagas, Mochamad Yudha, Komang Teguh, Fadilah Nur Rahman, David Maulana (captain), Andre Oktaviansyah, Sutan Zico, Mochammad Supriadi (75`, Muhammad Salman), Brylian Negietha, and Amiruddin Bagus (73`, Rendy Juliansyah).

India`s U-16 football team consists of Niraj Kumar, Moirangthem Thoiba, Shabas Ahammed, Gurkirat Singh, Vikram Partap (captain), Ravi Bahadur Rana (88`, Lalrokima), Bekey Oram, Ridge Melvin (90+2`, Harpreet), Givson Singh (68`, Lalchhanhima Sailo), Ricky John, and Bikash Yumnam.
