Jakarta, (ANTARA News) - The Ministry of Industry is perfecting the roadmap for the Muslim fashion industry to transform Indonesia into a barometer of the world`s Muslim fashion.

"We are currently perfecting the roadmap, as it will be confusing if we proceed without one," Director General of Small and Medium Industries from the Ministry of Industry Gati Wibawaningsih stated in Jakarta on Monday.

Wibawaningsih remarked that the roadmap is being perfected in a bid to accommodate the needs of industry makers and foster growth of the country`s fashion sector.

"Earlier, it had gone according to our conventions, but now, it is different. The roadmap should be beneficial to industry makers," she remarked.

The roadmap will prioritize the programs that were set earlier, including ensuring sustainable availability of industrial raw materials.

According to the plan, the refined roadmap will be launched in September, but due to hectic schedules of the country`s fashion industry that is currently participating in various international fashion events, the date will be pushed back.

"It was supposed to be launched in September, but there has been a slight delay," she revealed.
