Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA News) - Volunteers of the Jokowi-Ma`ruf Amin pair in Malaysia collected donations for disaster victims as a form of concern over the earthquake and tsunami disaster that hit the Southeast Sulawesi Province of Palu and Donggala.

"After two weeks, the plan will be for donations to be sent to the National Disaster Management Agency or BNPB to be forwarded to disaster victims," Coordinator of Malaysia`s Jokowi-Ma`ruf Volunteers Agus Dwi Purwanto said in Kuala Lumpur on Monday.

Volunteers of Jokowi-Ma`ruf Amin in Malaysia conducted a donation drive for victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Palu and Donggala in front of the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur late Sunday (30/9).

"These volunteers are concerned about the condition of the victims of the disaster, who need help," he said.

Purwanto said the donations would be distributed directly to Indonesian citizens living and working in Malaysia.

"Jokowi-Ma`ruf support volunteers will deploy the team to a number of locations that are the concentration points of Indonesian citizens in Malaysia," he said.

Purwanto explained that this activity was an initiative of the Jokowi - Ma`ruf Supporting Volunteer Team.

With this activity, he hoped that donations from Indonesian citizens in Malaysia will be distributed to disaster victims who need it.
