Jakarta, (ANTARA News) - The Taxation Directorate General of the Finance Ministry said tax revenues in the first nine months of the year reached only Rp900.82 trillion of the target of Rp1,424 trillion set for the whole year.

The tax revenues was only 63.26 per cent of the target for 2018, but were still higher 16.87 percent than in the same period last year.

"So far, the revenue trend is still improving," Taxation Director General Robert Pakpahan said here on Wednesday.

Income tax from non-oil/gas sector reached Rp487.95 trillion in the first nine months of the year or 59.72 percent of the annual target of Rp817 trillion.

Value added tax (VAT) and luxury sales tax (PPnBM) reached Rp351.51 trillion or 64.88 percent of the target of Rp541.8 trillion.

Land and building tax and other taxes reached Rp13.77 trillion or 50.9 percent of the target of Rp27.06 trillion.

Meanwhile income taxes from the oil and gas sector reached Rp47.59 trillion or 124.8 percent of the target of Rp38.13 trillion.

? Excluding revenues in tax amnesty in January-March 2017, the tax revenues in the first nine months of 2018 rose 18.72 percent.

Robert predicted realization would reach only 95 percent of the tax target this year.
