Nusa Dua (ANTARA News) - Some 21 Indonesian state-owned enterprises are eyeing Rp200 trillion in investments potentially offered at the 2018 Indonesia Investment Forum (IIF) scheduled on the sidelines of the IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings here on Tuesday.

PT. Bank Mandiri Persero Tbk will coordinate the direct investments, the state-owned bank`s corporate secretary, Rohan Hafas, stated here on Monday.

"The total investment worth is expected to reach Rp200 trillion, and this is a direct investment wherein 95 percent comes from foreign investors," he remarked, adding that the IIF will synergize investors and related stakeholders to support Indonesia`s economic growth.

This year`s IIF, initiated by the central bank Bank Indonesia, Financial Services Authority (OJK), Finance Ministry, and State-Owned Enterprises Ministry represented by Bank Mandiri, will be held at Conrad Hotel here on Tuesday.

"This forum will synergize investors and related stakeholders and provide investments that will help to support Indonesia`s economy," Hafas noted.

Several hundred investors will explore Indonesia`s investment potentials, he added.

Meanwhile, the OJK will also organize five activities to offer added value to the week-long IMF-World Bank annual meetings opened here on Monday.

"The activities are held, so that the results could be presented in the form of implementation events, thus giving concrete contribution to Indonesia as the organizer, especially in the financial service industry," Deputy Commissioner of Strategic and Management and Logistics of OJK Anto Prabowo stated.

Estimated to be attended by more than 30 thousand people from across the world, the IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings is being held on October 8-14, 2018.

The meetings bring together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, parliamentarians, private sector executives, representatives from civil society organizations, and academics to discuss issues of global concern, including the world economic outlook, poverty eradication, economic development, and aid effectiveness.

The annual meetings will also feature seminars, regional briefings, press conferences, and several other events focused on the global economy, international development, and the world`s financial system.
