Nusa Dua, Bali, (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Pavilion, held in between the IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings activities, involves 110 guest relation officers to explain products from 24 state owned enterprises that are on display in the exhibition.

Their presence enhanced the experience of the visitors of the Pavilion, most of whom are delegate members of the IMF-WB meetings from foreign countries.

One of the workers, Dewi Noraga, stated in the Indonesian Pavilion on Wednesday that she and her colleagues were trained for three days.

"We needed to be informed on all the products from the 24 state owned enterprises involved," said Noraga, who is employed by a plantation state owned enterprise.

In fact, all guest relations personnel are workers of different state owned enterprises and some are ambassadors of certain companies.

The training, said Noraga, also covered communication techniques with the guests, although most of the personnel work in fields of marketing or public relations.

Although the training was considerably short, Noraga said that she was happy she had joined it as it allowed her to gain new friends and establish new networking.

Meanwhile, a personnel from Bali, Yolanda Panjaitan, said that her duty was one that she enjoyed as she got to meet a lot of new people.

"Our work is divided into two shifts, in the morning and in the evening. For the morning, it goes from 7 a.m to 2 p.m local time, and continues to the second shift from 2 to 9 p.m," said Panjaitan, who works in the Mandiri Bank-Bali office.

The guest relations personnel`s duties are divided into four zones, namely the arts and culture, tourism, infrastructure and handicraft zones.

Each of them is responsible in her/his designated zone, although they might be assigned to other zones as well.

"Which is why we have to know all about the products here," she said.
