Nusa Dua, Bali, Oct 12 (ANTARA News) - A 23-year old Balinese craftsman, Anak Agung Gede Dani Artha, has prepared a special painted fan for President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who is scheduled to visit the Indonesia Pavilion in Nusa Dua, Bali, on Friday.

"The fan on its left side described the development of infrastructure sector during President Jokowi administration such as toll road, LRT (light rapid transit), bridges and fuel oil single price policy," Dani Artha said.

On the right side, the fan described the development of human resources with an illustration of President Jokowi riding a motorbike modified by Indonesian youth, and Asian Games multi-sporting event.

It took a week for Dani to prepare the painted fan.

The alumna of Bali`s Institute of Arts has been working as an illustrator of children story book written in Balinese language.

"I painted this fan specially for the IMF-WB event, using acrylic and block technique," he added.

Dani is one of craftsmen who join Bee Handycraft, a small and medium scale enterprise in Badung owned by A.A.A Mas Utari N. that produces bamboo fan using cloth waste and used can.

Mas Utari has recruited some 50 craftsmen to make bamboo and wooden fan, and her workshop could produce some 300 fans per day.

"During the event some 25 to 30 delegates learned how to make a fan here," Mas Utari said, adding that she has exported the product to 12 countries including the United Kingdom, the United States, Poland and France.

The Indonesia Pavilion is held as a side event of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)-World Bank annual meetings in Nusa Dua, Bali on October 8-14.
