Nusa Dua, Bali, (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) met with Melinda Gates, the Co-Chair of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) on the sideline of the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank here on Friday.

At the meeting Jokowi was accompanied by Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, Minister of Communications and Informatics Rudiantara, Foreign Minister Retno LP Marsudi, and Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo.

The meeting with Melinda took place after the Indonesian leader had talks with President of the Manila-based Asian Development Bank Takehiko Nakao.

Earlier, Melinda, wife of Microsoft founder and business magnate Bill Gates, together with Sri Mulyani were speakers at a discussion on Policies for Harnessing Technology for Growth at the Nusantara Room of BICC, on Thursday.

The two women spoke about the importance of technology to help boost the economy of developing countries.
