Tasikmalaya, W. Java (ANTARA News) - Vice-presidential candidate number 01 KH Ma`ruf Amin attended the National Santri Day ceremony at the Dadaha Field, Tasikmalaya, on Monday morning.

Amin arrived at 8:30 a.m. local time wearing white Muslim clothing and beige sarong along with a dark suit, black skullcap, and white turban.

Amin appeared to smile a lot at the students present during the ceremony.

Chairperson of the PP Pagar Nusa NU Nabil Harun, as the National Santri Day commander in Tasikmalaya, remarked that the National Santri Day ceremony in Tasikmalaya was attended by thousands of students from various regions in West Java.

Several figures present at the event included Coordinating Minister for Politics, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto as the ceremony inspector, PBNU General Chairman Said Aqil Siradj, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, National Awakening Party General Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar, and West Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Agung Budi Marwoto.

In addition to attending the 2018 Santri Day commemoration, Amin is scheduled to attend Halaqah Alim-Ulama and the Gathering of Islamic Boarding Schools in West Java.
