Singapore (ANTARA News) - Indonesia invites Australia to contribute in solving the Palestine-Israeli conflict.

At the ASEAN-Australia Informal Breakfast Summit held at the Suntec Convention Center on Wednesday, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) expressed hope that the ASEAN-Australia relations would grow stronger under the leadership of Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

At the meeting, the president invited Australia to contribute to a fair Palestinian-Israeli peace based on the principle of a two-state solution.

President Jokowi also emphasized his stance in the efforts to create Israel-Palestinian peace based on the principle of a two-state solution.

Indonesia views the two-state solution as the right approach to resolve conflicts fairly.

President Jokowi also expressed high hopes that Australia would help realize peace between Palestine and Israel based on the two-state solution.

At the meeting, the president lauded Australia`s support of the Indo-Pacific concept that highlights ASEAN`s centrality.

"We express our gratitude to PM Morrison for Australia`s support of the Indo-Pacific concept," the president added.
