Semarang, C Java (ANTARA News) - Ruling Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) is convinced that presidential candidate pair Joko Widodo-Ma`ruf Amin will win the 2019 presidential race in West Java next April.

PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said in Cirebon on Saturday that his party was optimistic the Indonesia Working Coalition (KIK) would be able to bring victory to its presidential and vice presidential candidates.

Kristiyanto said PDIP was convinced about the victory based on several considerations.

He said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had shown his achievement over the past four years of his administration.

The Jokowi government`s achievements included the development of Kertajati airport in Majalengka, the construction of the Majalengka Dam, the construction of the Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi (Bocimi) toll roads, the development of the Citarum River basin area and other achievements.

"The people have directly felt the benefit the achievements made by President Jokowi in West Java so that the people of West Java wanted the president to continue making achievements," he said.

After all, PDIP is supported by more political parties in the 2019 presidential elections than by those in the 2014 political parties.

The political parties grouped in the KIK supporting the Jokowi-Ma`ruf presidential pair are PDIP, Golkar Party, Nasdem, PKB, PPP, Hanura, PKPI, Perindo, and PSI.

These parties are grouped in the Indonesia Working Coalition (KIK).
