Jakarta, (ANTARA News) - Presidential candidate number 01 Joko Widodo, or commonly known as Jokowi, stressed that the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) would not fall apart.

Jokowi made his statement before thousands of alumni of the University of Indonesia (UI) who declared their support for the Jokowi - Ma`ruf Amin pair in the 2019 presidential election on Saturday (12/1), according to a statement here on Sunday.

He expressed his annoyance to hear any political speech on the dissolution of Indonesia and the attack against him, which accused Jokowi as a supporter of the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI).

However, Jokowi chose to response the allegation with concrete action, among others by taking over 51 percent of stakes in PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI).

Indonesia also took over its largest gas block Mahakam from France`s Total E&P Indonesie and Japan`s Inpex Corporation.

"State-Owned energy firm Pertamina has fully managed Indonesia`s Mahakam Oil and Gas block," the president said.

Alumni of the University of Indonesia (UI) gave a black jacket to Jokowi as a symbol of support.

The words written on the back of the black jacket "work work work" is an implementation of Jokowi`s move to continue to work for the development of Indonesia.
