Jakarta, (ANTARA News) - Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud will visit Indonesia on February 18-19, 2019, with discussions to be centered on intensifying economic cooperation.

During his official work visit to the Motherland, the Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister and Saudi Defense Minister Mohammed bin Salman are scheduled to meet with President Joko Widodo for a veranda talk at the Bogor Palace on Tuesday (Feb 19).

"Furthermore, a bilateral meeting will be held in a plenary format in which the president will be accompanied by relevant ministers," Director of Asia-Pacific and Africa of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Desra Percaya informed reporters on Friday.

The bilateral meeting will end with the signing of more than two agreements, one of which is in the energy sector.

Information on the memorandum of understanding to be inked by the Republic of Indonesia and Saudi had yet to be disclosed in detail since it is still being negotiated.

"What is certain is the focus on increasing economic cooperation and the interests of the ummah. It is possible that the two leaders will also discuss regional and global issues," Desra noted.

After meeting with President Jokowi, the Saudi Crown Prince will attend a business forum with Indonesian and Saudi businesspersons in Jakarta.

The Saudi Crown Prince has also planned to meet with Vice President Jusuf Kalla. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman`s visit to Indonesia is part of his trip to Asia, where he will also visit China, Malaysia, Pakistan, and India.
