Indonesia will organize simultaneous legislative and presidential elections on April 17, 2019, across the country and in Indonesia`s embassy and representative offices overseas.

Incumbent Joko Widodo and challenger Prabowo Subianto, who picks young businessman Sandiaga Uno as his running mate, are once again set to go head-to-head in the 2019 presidential election, which is considered by many as a repeat of the bitter 2014 presidential race showcasing a country divide.

The campaign period for the 2019 legislative and presidential elections is from September 2018 until April 13, 2019.
