Bandung, W Java, (ANTARA News) - Indonesian Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Susi Pudjiastuti, will build a museum on Pangandaran Beach, Pangandaran district, West Java.

The museum will display examples of collections of illegal fishing vessels that were successfully sunk by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

"We will create a museum that collects examples of the vessels we captured in Pangandaran," Pudjiastuti stated, during the "Ocean Earthing Festival as the Future of the Nation" Talk Show and Exhibition, at Graha Sanusi Hardjadinta Unpad, Bandung, on Tuesday.

The minister told the students the reason behind the scary illegal fishing boat shows or information made by his party.

"I am often questioned by millennials, Mrs. Susi, why is the picture of the sinking scary? I replied that it was deliberately done so to frighten the looters in our sea," he explained.

On this occasion, Pudjiastuti also explained the success of the ministry which he headed, including his party?s efforts to successfully sink 488 illegal fishing vessels that were known to have stolen biological wealth in the Indonesian sea.

In addition, at the event, Pudjiastuti joked that she will drown the artist and founder of the Indonesian Ocean Pride social movement, Hamish Daud, if he does not help the millennial generation who are interested in take care of the sea.

"So if Daud is invited to tour our sea with students, he we must be willing. This is a promise, yes, he is a Chancellor (Unpad). So if he does not want, then he will be drowned," he noted.

The minister?s statement to drown Daud was immediately greeted by laughter from the students who attended the event.

The husband of singer Raisa was also present along with Melati Wijsen (the initiator of the Bye Bye Plastic Bags Movement) at the talk show representing the millennial generation who had concern for the environment, especially the ocean.
