Jakarta (ANTARA) -
The Ministry of Transportation is again offering free motorbike transportation for Eid al-Fitr 2019, with destinations to several cities in Central Java, East Java, and Yogyakarta.

"The people's interest in joining this program is very high, so this year, we will hold another event with the same quota in 2019 as 2018, which is 18,096 motorbikes," Director for Traffic and Railway Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Zulmafendi informed reporters on Thursday.

It was said that registration for the free motorbike program (motis) had, in fact, been opened to participants from Tuesday, March 12, and last until May 25, 2019.

Zulmafendi explained that motis participants can register online through the mudikgratis.dephub.go.id website and also register directly at designated stations.

In addition to motis participants, who register through the contraflow/regional motis services, registration starts from April 28 and will remain open until June 12, 2019.

Jakarta Gudang Station, Bekasi Station, Jatinegara Station, and Kemayoran Station as well as the Cikarang Station and Kiara Condong Station are some that have received direct motis registration.

Depok Baru Station and Tangerang Station will also immediately follow suit to receive participants for motis registration.

Zulmafendi explained that motis participants, who registered at the start, from March 25 to May 13, 2019, will receive privileges in the form of facilities to purchase train tickets for Commercial Economy and PSO. Each participant will be able to avail the facility of purchasing a maximum of three train tickets.

"Note that this ticket facility is valid only as long as the allocated ticket quota is still available," he clarified.

He noted that the time of delivery or transportation for motis will begin on May 27 and last until June 2, 2019, thereafter resuming on June 8 until June 13, 2019.
