AntaraJakarta (ANTARA) - Presidential candidate number 02, Prabowo Subianto targeted a strong coalition of Just and Prosperous Indonesia's political parties in parliament to get effective results for what the coalition did.
"We need strength in parliament, so that people can get results quickly and effectively," Prabowo said after receiving a visit from the Democratic Party Joint Task Force Commander Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) in Jakarta on Thursday.
Prabowo stressed that he highly appreciated the participation of the Democratic Party and other Prabowo-Sandi coalition parties.
According to him, the Prabowo-Sandi coalition parties have an interest that each of them gets satisfactory results in the 2019 Parliamentary and Presidential Elections.
"We hope this coalition will get satisfactory results in the 2019 Election, so that our government is effective and strong, practically decisions can be taken quickly because it needs a breakthrough to improve the nation to face strong competition from other countries," he said.
AHY, Head of Democratic Party 's Joint Command (Kogasma), said his side used a dual track strategy in the 2019 Election, namely the first in the Parliamentary Elections, the party still existed and had representation of legislative members in parliament.
Secondly, according to him, Democrats are committed to the success of the 2019 Presidential Election by joining the Just and Prosperous Indonesia coalition that supports Prabowo-Sandi.
