This information was revealed by Seoul's foreign ministry on Wednesday, Xinhua reported.
South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Washington on Friday (Washington time), according to the Seoul ministry.
During the meeting, Kang and Pompeo will conduct an assessment of situations and hold discussions on countermeasures after the second DPRK-US summit while also delivering their views on broad issues of common concern from the bilateral, regional, and global perspectives.
During the second summit, talks between top DPRK leader Kim Jong Un and US President Donald Trump failed to reach an agreement in late February in Hanoi, Vietnam's capital.
After the summit, South Korea has promised to act as a mediator between Pyongyang and Washington and to facilitate a resumption in talks to work towards the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. Source: Xinhua
