Jakarta (ANTARA) - Incumbent Joko Widodo (Jokowi) would give his best performance for the topic of international relations at the fourth round of presidential debate in Jakarta, Saturday evening, despite concerns that he might not be able to do so, chairman of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf national campaign team Erick Thohir noted.

"He (Jokowi) has been acknowledged by many international figures, as he has spoken at the G20 Summit and IMF-WB Annual Meetings," Thohir said at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, where the debate being held.

Jokowi's speeches in a number of international events, he continued, often received attention and became trending topic worldwide.

In his speeches in international meetings, Jokowi often used popular terms from films or television series such as Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War or HBO's Game of Thrones, to describe the current global situation.

Jokowi, for instance, borrowed one of the oft-quoted phrases of Game of Thrones which is 'winter is coming' while speaking at the IMF-WB Annual Meetings in Bali, last October, to make comparisons of the current global economic situation to the Emmy-winning television series.

Jokowi said weak coordination and cooperation, particularly on the part of developed countries, had resulted in additional uncertainty in the global economy, citing the drastic increase in the global oil price and turmoil in the financial markets of emerging markets as recent examples. In the face of such conditions, Jokowi called for greater cooperation and coordination in working toward a common goal.

Such moves were claimed by Thohir to be Jokowi's positive value and have improved his popularity in the global stage.

He also believes that Jokowi would always bring up new ideas that are never out of date.

Jokowi and his contender, Prabowo Subianto, faced off in the fourth round of presidential debate discussing ideology, governance, international relations, as well as defense and security affairs.
