Jakarta (ANTARA) - Presidential candidates number 02 Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno’s grand campaign to be held on Sunday, March 7, at the Gelora Bung Karno main stadium (GBK), in Jakarta, Indonesia, will be attended by one million Indonesians, stated a press release received here on Friday.

According to Head of the Prabowo-Sandi grand campaign committee, Muhammad Taufik, the campaign will be the largest general election campaign supported by various groups, including members of coalition political parties, Islamic scholars, alumni of the Islamic mass rally on December 2, 2016, dubbed the 212 movement, and Prabowo-Sandi supporters.

Taufik added that the campaign would be a modest one, with religious preaching and political speeches and not include Dangdut music.

“The campaign will start with a Subuh prayer congregation, and then zikir (doxology) and will be held from 8am to 10am local time,” stated Taufik.

An organizing committee member of the Prabowo-Sandi grand campaign at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) main stadium, Prasetyo Hadi, apologized to Jakarta’s citizens for the heavy traffic the event might cause on Sunday morning.

“We apologize to Jakarta’s citizens if there are road disturbances. On Saturday afternoon, we will open registration, Insyaallah (In God’s will); we will invite reporters and the media, and will not limit the attendance,” he said.
