Jakarta (ANTARA) - Vice President M. Jusuf Kalla has forecast that the 2019 legislative and presidential elections will record a voter turnout exceeding 75 percent, or more than that in the 2014 election.

The election turnout earlier was some 70 percent, though this time, it is expected to cross 75 percent since the 2019 elections seem to be interesting, the vice president informed the press here, Tuesday.

Kalla believes that swing voters and undecided voters would have six days at hand to make their choice.

"I think they will later reach a decision, influenced by campaigning and debate scheduled on April13. More often than not, they will make their choice," he pointed out.

On the basis of a survey by Indikator Politik Indonesia a month before the election, swing voters constitute 16.9 percent, while the number of undecided voters reaches 7.2 percent.

In 2009, the voter turnout had reached some 70 percent, while in 2014, it was recorded at 69.8 percent.
