Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Industry Ministry will organize the 2019 Indonesia Industrial Summit (IIS) themed "Implementation of Making Indonesia 4.0 Toward Top Ten Global Economies", in ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten Province, on April 15 and 16.

Some 3,300 participants comprising representatives of ministries, institutions, embassies, regional administrations, industries, technology practitioners, and higher education alumni, will take part in the IIS this year, Haris Munandar, secretary general of the Industry Ministry, said here, Saturday.

Vice President M Jusuf Kalla is scheduled to officially open the event in the accompany of Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto.

A talk show and panel discussion on the policy and implementation of industry 4.0 in Indonesia will highlight the IIS.

Among speakers of the first session of the talk show on April 15 will be Airlangga Hartarto who will talk on Transformation of Industrialization Policy in the Era of Industry 4.0. , and the German Ambassador to Indonesia who will speak about "Indonesia-Germany Partnership: Preparing Indonesia as Official Country Partner of Hannover Messe 2020".

Speakers of the panel discussion will include Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, the Chairman of the National Development Planning Board (Bappenas), representative of Indonesia's Cloud Computing Association, and the Director of the Indorama Polytechnic Engineering .

On Tuesday, April 16, representatives of Apindo, PT TMMIN, and AT Kearney will speak in the event.

“We have also invited the Manpower Minister, the President of Singapore Manufacturing Federation, the Deputy Governor of East Java, and Prof. Dradjad Irianto,” he remarked.

Last year's IIS was opened by President Joko Widodo.
