Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Rini Soemarno turned up at the polling station (TPS) 011 in the Patra Jasa residential area, South Jakarta, to exercise her franchise, as the Indonesian ballot battle kicked off.

According to Antara's on-field monitoring, Soemarno was seeing making a beeline for TPS 011 at 9:35 WIB in the company of her second son Yodhananata Soewandi and first daughter Nindia Sutrepti Soemarno.

"Have you voted?" the SOE minister asked reporters as she lined up at TPS 011, South Jakarta, on Wednesday.

The minister further seized the opportunity to appeal to the media crew to participate in the elections by exercising their right to vote at their respective polling stations.

Minister Soemarno, dressed in a white shirt, with her children in tow, was seen at the polling station venue.

After casting her vote, Minister Soemarno had plans to have a meal and take a stroll along with her children.

Other Working Cabinet ministers, who cast their vote were Public Works Minister Basuki Hadimuljono and Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi at the Widya Chandra housing complex; Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani in Bintaro, South Jakarta; Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution Pancoran, South Jakarta; and Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Ignasius Jonan in Cipete, South Jakarta.
