Jakarta (ANTARA) - Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin (Jokowi-Ma'ruf) outshone the Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno (Prabowo-Sandi) pair in provisional ballot counting for the 2019 presidential election published by the General Election Commission (KPU) at 5:45 a.m. local time, (Apr 25).

The KPU's Vote Counting Information System (Situng) showed the Jokowi-Ma'ruf pair securing 55.80 percent, or 27,403,301 votes, while 44.20 percent or 21,707,103 votes, went to Prabowo-Sandi.

The provisional ballot counting is done on the basis of C1 forms obtained from 261,331 out of the total 813,350 polling stations across Indonesia and overseas.

KPU's recapitulation showed the voting coverage of polling stations at 32.13 percent of the total polling stations.

The Commission has been engaged in a marathon vote-counting process since April18, 2019, and the people can access the latest updates via their mobile phones, the KPU.go.id website, or the 2019 Election Results channel.

The vote-counting process is expected to conclude by May 22, 2019.
