Jakarta (ANTARA) - Several national figures paid a visit to the residence of Indonesia's third President B. J. Habibie in the Patra Kuningan area, Jakarta, Wednesday afternoon, for holding discussions on the nation's present situation.

The national figures comprised Mahfud M. D., Shinta Nuriyah Wahid, Alissa Wahid, Gus Sholah, Frans Magnis Suseno, and Dahlan Iskan.

Mahfud noted in a statement that the figures had congregated to discuss at length the nation's current scenario.

"It is expected that the Indonesian people would later get a grasp of the message," Mahfud M. D. remarked.

The meeting that convened in the library room of Habibie's residence was initially open to members of the media to take pictures though later on turned to a closed-door meet for facilitating conducive discussions.

Following the conclusion of the meeting, the attendees will deliver the substance and outcome of discussions during the meeting.
