Jakarta (ANTARA) - Data entries of vote counts of the 2019 presidential elections on the Vote Count Information System of the General Election Commission (KPU) cover 641,853 polling stations (TPS), or 78.91 percent of the total 813,350 TPS.

Incumbent Joko Widodo (Jokowi)-Ma'ruf Amin bagged 68,012,184 votes, or 56.29 percent, while challenger Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno secured 52,810,224 votes, or 43.71 percent.

According to KPU Situng's disclaimer, the date entries were based on figures on C1 vote count forms obtained from polling stations at the city and district levels.

Any errors in date entries can be rectified during an open plenary meetings on recapitulation at the sub-district level.

Corrections of any inconsistencies of data entries on Situng and C1 form copies will be done in line with the figures on the C1 form copies.

The KPU clarified that data appearing on the KPU Situng is not the official result of the election vote counts.

The KPU will make an official announcement of the official vote count results on May 22, 2019.

The simultaneous legislative and presidential elections, held on April 17, 2019, across Indonesia, have fueled two controversies until now, specifically concerning the high death counts of polling station members and Subianto team's claims of data entry inconsistencies on the Situng.

The Indonesian Medical Association (IDI) notified the press that 469 polling station attendants died of ailments, including heart and neurological diseases, and not owing to fatigue as reported earlier.

The Health Ministry remarked that the death toll had reached 445 as of Sunday (May 12) owing to 13 diseases.

Furthermore, 92 election supervisory officers and 22 policemen also reportedly died in the post-election period in different provinces.

In the meantime, the Prabowo Subianto team had reported some 73,716 wrong vote data entries on KPU Situng to the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) on May 3, 2019.

"Central Java reportedly had the largest number of errors, notably in 7,666 polling stations, 5,826 polling stations in East Java, 4,327 polling stations in North Sumatra, 3,296 polling stations in South Sumatra, and 3,219 polling stations in South Sulawesi," Mustofa Nahrawardaya of the team, stated.

The tolerance level of error in the IT system is 0.1 percent, while 15.4 percent was found in the KPU Situng, he pointed out.
