Jakarta (ANTARA) - Ex-chief of the Army's Strategic Reserve Command Major General (ret) Kivlan Zen, charged with treason and spreading hoaxes, is prepared to face detention by the National Police's Criminal Detective Department (Bareskrim).

"That is the investigator's right. We have no problem. We leave (the matter) to the investigator. For instance, if (the investigator) is keen on questioning me outside or within (the Bareskrim building), I will accept it and have no problem with it," Zen noted at the Bareskrim Building in the vicinity of the National Police Headquarters in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Zen agreed to follow the steps outlined by the investigator if they are correct and fair. If declared guilty, Zen made assurance of accepting the verdict as it is.

During the interrogation, Zen said he will reiterate the statements of the witnesses comprising Greater Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party senior politician Permadi and activist Lieus Sungkharisma.

Zen, in the company of his lawyer Juju Purwantoro, underwent the second round of questioning as suspect in a treason case. Zen had failed to show up during the first round of questioning on May 21, 2019.

Jalaludin of Serang, Banten Province, filed a report with Bareskrim against Zen for allegedly spreading hoax.
