The procession of handover was carried out during the funeral ceremony of Ani Yudhoyono's body at the Cikeas Hall, Bogor, West Java, on Sunday afternoon with Indonesian House speaker Bambang Soesatyo.as the ceremony inspector.
The handover of the body was carried out by the first lady's second son Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono (Ibas) representing the family and received by ceremony inspector Bambang Soesatyo on behalf of the Indonesian government.
"We hereby hand over the remains to the government, to laid to rest in the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery with a military ceremony," Ibas said.
Then, the House speaker Bambang Soesatyo, as the ceremony inspector representing the government, asked permission from the family to bring the body of the late first lady to its final resting place at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery.
The convoy that will bring and accompany the first lady to her final rest have been determined, namely escorts, marching band, respect troops, hearse vehicles, ceremony inspector, family and mourners.
The former first lady Ani Yudhoyono died at 67 years old in Singapore at 11:50 a.m. local time on Saturday after battling blood cancer since February. She is survived by her husband, former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, two sons, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren.
