Indramayu, W Java (ANTARA) - Two inhabitants of Ilir Village in Indramayu District went missing after a boat, with six people onboard, capsized in the waters on Thursday evening (June 6), the Indramayu police chief remarked here on Friday.

"A couple -- Rasja and Darnengsi -- went missing after the boat KM Nok Tantri capsized due to high waves," Adjunct Senior Commissioner Yoris M. Y. Marzuki stated.

The boat set sail in the waters of Sumbermas in Indramayu District at around 4 p.m. local time on Thursday to supply freshwater to a fishing vessel anchored in the waters.

However, high waves hit the boat, and it sank in the waters.

Two passengers went missing, while four others survived and were evacuated to the local hospital.

The police have continued to look for the two missing passengers with the assistance of local fishermen.

"We are still searching for the two missing passengers," Marzuki added.
