Bandarlampung (ANTARA) - Thousands of returning Eid-al-Fitr motorcycle-riding travelers crowded the Bakauheni ferry port's pier 1 in Lampung province on Sunday.

The motorcyclists who headed for several cities in Java were divided into two groups to queue for ferry services at the port, an Antara journalist observed on Sunday afternoon.

In the meantime, more and more motorcyclists continued to arrive at the port, forcing ticket counter officers to work harder.

A total of 14 ticket counters were set up to serve the returning Eid motorcycle-riding travelers.

A 25-year old motorist Fathul Hadi from Central Lampung district said he had been caught in congestion before he got the ticket counter.

"Since 10.00 a.m. (local time) I have been caught in congestion and I haven't got a ticket," he said.

He recalled the return flow of Eid travelers at the ferry port last year was not as bad as this year.
