Jakarta (ANTARA) - Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo invited three regional heads installed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) based on the 2019 regional election results to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) building, here on Wednesday, to discuss corruption-prevention measures.

"Today, the last governor based on the election results, specifically for Lampung, was installed. Yesterday, it was for Maluku and North Maluku. It is routine procedure that we invite them to the KPK to hold discussion and dialog pertaining to corruption prevention strategies," Kumolo remarked on arrival at the KPK building, Jakarta, Wednesday.

President Jokowi, on Wednesday, appointed Djunaidi and Chusnunia Chalim respectively as the Lampung governor and deputy governor for the 2019-2024 period at the Jakarta State Palace.

On April 24, 2019, the president had also instated Murad Ismail and Barnabas Orno respectively as the governor and deputy governor of Maluku for the 2019-2024 term.

On May 10, 2019, Jokowi inducted Abdul Ghani Kasuba and Al Yasin Ali respectively as the governor and deputy governor of North Maluku for the 2019-2024 term .

"This is because yesterday, it was different for Maluku and North Maluku, the day was merged. All governors and others appointed were immediately brought (to the KPK) for a dialog and discussion, so that a common consensus could be reached and for realizing the vision to prevent corruption-related problems," Kumolo stated.
