Palembang, South Sumatra (ANTARA) - Two traditional sand and rock miners lost their lives and another was injured in a landslide that hit the Pagaralam-Lahat border area, South Sumatra Province, on Tuesday.

"A landslide occurred in a mining area on Tuesday at 2 p.m. local time, killing two and seriously injuring one," Dayu of the Pagaralam Search and Rescue office, noted here on Wednesday.

The dead miners are identified by their names as Dedi, 37, and Miki, 25, while the injured is Mirlan, 50," he stated.

Mirlan is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Pagaralam.
