"We expect an increase of 10-15 percent in transactions during the 2019 Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI)," Director General of National Export Development of the Ministry of Trade Dody Edward remarked in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The 2019 Trade Expo Indonesia will be held on October 16-20, 2019, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Tangerang, Banten.

The exhibition will feature quality products and promote Indonesian products in the global market.
"The facilities readied at the 34th Trade Expo Indonesia are better than before. Product appearance and zoning will be better organized and in accordance with the international exhibition standards as well as the convenience of transactions and negotiations," Dody explained.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo will open the 2019 TEI themed "Moving Forward to Serve the World."
The 2019 TEI occupies an area of 24,732 square meters, with the number of participants targeted to reach 1,250 people.
Edward elaborated that the 2019 TEI will also feature an array of supporting activities, including the Trade, Tourism and Investment Forum (TTI Forum) that comprises different activities encompassing seminars, workshops, talks, regional discussions, export competition for start-up companies, and business counseling.
"The 2019 Trade Expo Indonesia will also feature an agenda for purchasing missions, local trade missions, and business explorations to discuss the potential for business cooperation. Furthermore, the Primaniyarta Awards will be bestowed on outstanding exporters, while the Primaduta Awards will honor buyers and importers that have remained loyal to Indonesian products," he stated.
To attract foreign buyers, the Ministry of Trade has coordinated with 132 Indonesian representative offices abroad, 23 trade attachés, 19 Indonesian Trade Promotion Centers (ITPC), Indonesian Trade and Economic Office, Ambassador of the World Trade Organization (WTO), and Trade Consul.
