Whether it is a solo vacation or a trip together with some friends, this highly populated city is quite friendly for such fun tourist activities, as its various transportation choices, for instance, are ready to take you to every corner of it.

ANTARA has chosen some of the amusement spots in Jakarta that you must visit since each of these places is guaranteed to bring pleasure in different ways.

It is better to prepare for some enjoyable experiences in Jakarta within an average temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. Here are three of the bouncy, icy, and sweaty places.

Bounce Street Asia Trampoline Park

A huge hall of bouncy trampolines will attract you and provide adrenaline to jump and set the body free on-air over and over for more.

Bounce Street Asia is a trampoline park located in Kelapa Gading area of Northern Jakarta, approximately 14 kilometers from the heart of the city.

A trip by car from Jalan Thamrin at central Jakarta needs half an hour to reach the location at Jalan Sentra Bisnis Artha Gading. There is no need to rush since this spot is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Disguised as a warehouse from the outside, once you enter the building, everyone wants to immediately take off their shoes and change into a proper suit.

But, do not let the exciting feeling make you forget what you need to do first – buy a ticket.

For an hour, every person is charged Rp120 thousand (around US$ 8.55) or Rp140 thousand (around US$ 10) for two straight hours of enjoying the bounce.

As a part of the proper suit to jump freely and minimize the risk of slipping, special socks with rubber patterns on its sole are needed. To have a pair at the location, add another Rp20 thousand rupiah (about US$ 1.43) to the payment.

Getting ready with comfortable sports clothes is the perfect preparation before going onto the trampolines as these bouncy things will make everyone sweat.

Before starting the first jump, some stretching exercises will help to get the body in a more relaxed condition.

Jumping all the way, whether it is for fun or sport, will be automatically gained from this single bouncy activity.

A man-made ice floor in SkyRink Jakarta is likely to invite the curiosity to put on a pair of sliding shoes.

The icy spot is located on the 3rd floor of Taman Anggrek Mall in West Jakarta and only takes some 25 minutes to reach by car from Jalan Thamrin.

It costs Rp95 thousand rupiah (about US$ 6.77) to enter the hall and rent a pair of skate shoes. Long socks are also essential as the shoes are the high-ankle kind.

in the cold area, it is best to wear warm clothes – long sleeve shirts and long trousers, complete with hand gloves.

Aside from keeping the hands warm, gloves will also keep them safe when you fall on the ice floor, which is not that soft.

Additional equipment such as socks and gloves are sold separately, unless you are prepared to bring your own.

It is indeed a skill-needed activity to skate over the surface of ice, but if you are a rookie, the handle installed at the side along the round-shaped hall will help.

Open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., this spot offers fun experiences to slide and fall, or to skate properly as a world’s champion on ice skating.

Dunia Fantasi theme park

If the bouncy and icy spots don’t get you amused enough, perhaps the sweaty one will not disappoint.

Jakarta’s most popular outdoor theme park is Dunia Fantasi or known shortly as Dufan.

If you take the road from Jalan Thamrin to Ancol area, North Jakarta, Dufan is situated 25 minutes away.

Various features for the real fun are there, from the enjoyable playground such as the carrousel to the one increasing the adrenaline like the Tornado.

To enjoy all the playgrounds in Jakarta’s weather that supposedly will make you sweat, you need to pay Rp200 thousand rupiah (around US$ 14.25).

It is worth the cost since the fun lasts the whole day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Furthermore, at the 9.5 hectares area park, walking from one spot to another will give you an exercise you never asked for.
