The West Java provincial social affairs office has sent relief aid to flood-affected areas in the districts of Karawang and Subang in West Java Province.

"Logistics assistance from the Social Affairs Office of West Java has been sent to overcome the logistics shortage, last night (Tuesday, Feb 25). We will take logistics from the Ministry of Social Affairs," Head of the West Java Provincial Social Affairs Office Dodo Suhendra stated here on Wednesday.

The office has also set up a public kitchen command post in Rengasdengklok, Karawang.

It also continued to coordinate with the Flood Disaster Preparedness (Tagana) at the district and city levels to monitor the progress achieved in the flood mitigation efforts and the evacuation of flood victims.

The West Java Disaster Mitigation Office (BPBD) has also dispatched personnel to the flood-affected areas.

"In Bekasi, we have deployed rubber boats and sent logistics, such as fast food, side dishes, and additional nutrition, as well as mattresses and blankets," Chief Executive of West Java BPBD Supriyatno remarked.

The West Java BPBD also offered assistance and sent aid to emergency camps in Bekasi District, Karawang, and Subang.

"We will continue to monitor and coordinate with all relevant parties. We have also sent a team to all flood-affected locations, so that flood mitigation efforts will be fast and appropriate this time," he added.
