Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has decided to cut short trading hours on the Stock Exchange and Alternative Market Operation System (SPPA) and shorten the reporting time at the Receiver of Securities Transaction Report (PLTE).

According to OJK's written statement received in Jakarta on late Tuesday, this policy was implemented to support the government's move to curb the spread of COVID-19 and harmonize policies of the financial services sector.

In accordance with this policy, trading hours at the Stock Exchange from Monday to Friday for session I will be from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. local time while session II will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. local time.

In addition, the trading time of the SPPA will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. local time, while the operational hours of the PLTE will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. local time.

The OJK has also urged PT Kliring Penjaminan Efek Indonesia (PT KPEI) and PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (PT KSEI) to adjust the time of the settlement process and other operational activities.

The shortening of trading hours on the SPPA and the operating time at the PLTE as well as adjusting the time of the settlement process by PT KPEI and PT KSEI will come into effect from March 30, 2020.

This policy also applies from the adjustment of the operational schedule of Bank Indonesia’s public services until the end of the deadline set later by the OJK.
