President Joko Widodo has arrived in Solo, and further information on the passing of Mr. President's mother will be provided later
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo landed in Solo, Central Java Province, at 5:52 p.m. local time on Wednesday to pay tribute to his mother, Sujiatmi Notomiharjo, who passed away earlier in the afternoon.

He rushed to the mourning house soon after arriving in his hometown.

"President Joko Widodo has arrived in Solo, and further information on the passing of Mr. President's mother will be provided later," Presidential Secretariat Deputy Head of Protocol, Press and Media, Bey Triadi Machmudin, said in a press statement.

Born on February 15, 1943, Sujiatmi was married to Widjiatno Notomiharjo. They had four children. President Joko Widodo, their first child, was born in Surakarta, Central Java, on June 21, 1961.

Sujiatmi Notomiharjo breathed her last around 4:45 p.m. local time on Wednesday in her hometown Solo. There has been no information provided yet on arrangements for her funeral. (INE)
