Jakarta (ANTARA) - As many as 191 Indonesians have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) abroad as of 10 a.m. local time on Thursday, according to the Foreign Ministry.

The figure rose by 53 in comparison with 133 as of 8:30 a.m. local time on Wednesday, the ministry stated on its official account.@Kemlu_RI.

It said 45 of the additional confirmed coronavirus cases involved Indonesian crew members, thereby bringing their total number of COVID-19 positive cases abroad to 49.

"The 49 Indonesian crew members are employed in different ships, including Costa Luminosa (cruise) ship (docking in Italy)," it remarked.

In its infographics distributed by the ministry, Indonesian citizens exposed to coronavirus reside in 22 countries.

The ministry also reported confirmed cases of coronavirus, involving an Indonesian each in Oman, Belgium, and the United States, and their health condition is stable.

China, Macau, and Brunei Darussalam each had a case of an Indonesian testing positive for coronavirus.

Six other Indonesians have contracted the coronavirus infection in Spain, thereby totaling to nine Indonesians having tested positive for the virus in the country.

Most of the 191 Indonesians testing positive for COVID-19 are currently in stable health. In fact, 29 of them have recovered, constituting 15 percent of the total. Only two percent of them died in Malaysia and Singapore.

Nearly 205 countries and territories have reported confirmed coronavirus cases. The number of confirmed coronavirus cases has crossed over 823,626 globally.
