Jakarta (ANTARA) - National holidays and collective leave in 2022 will be regulated according to the development of the COVID-19 pandemic, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy has said.

“The 2022 collective leave will be regulated then by considering the updated development of COVID-19,” Effendy informed during an online press conference here on Wednesday.

National public holidays will also be regulated based on the same considerations, he added.

A number of aspects, including economic and tourism aspects, will be considered while setting national public holidays and collective leave next year, according to the minister.

“The arrangement of national public holiday and collective leave will also be based on the evaluation for the last two years since the COVID-19 pandemic started,” he said.

Public holidays and collective leave in the private sector will be regulated by the Manpower Minister, Effendy informed.

Meanwhile, for state civil apparatuses (ASN), public holidays and collective leave will be regulated by the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry, which will prepare a collective regulation for ASN, he added.
