This collaboration must be continued to improve accommodation services for tourists
Praya, Central Lombok (ANTARA) - All residential facilities for tourists (sarunta) in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ) have implemented the Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) standards, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has informed.

"This collaboration must be continued to improve accommodation services for tourists," Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno said while attending the virtual handing over of Indonesia Care certificates to sarunta managers in Central Lombok on Friday.

It is hoped that tourist accommodations implementing CHSE will be preferred by tourists and provide good services, not only during the MotoGP series in Mandalika but also subsequent events, the minister added.

Residential facilities for tourists will be a starting point for bringing economic benefits to the local community, he said.

"Sarunta will become one of tourists' choices to stay in Lombok," he added.

For this reason, Uno asked Sarunta managers to maintain and continue improving services for prospective tourists.

"We hope the 2022 MotoGP series in Mandalika will run well to encourage economic growth in the community," he remarked.

Meanwhile, head of the Central Lombok district, Lalu Pathul Bahri, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the central government and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy for providing training to all sarunta and homestay managers.

"The sarunta that was built was intended to support the readiness of accommodation in Mandalika and provide education to the public on providing services to tourists," he said.

Giving CHSE certificates is a form of the government’s commitment to the community to provide the best service for tourists visiting Lombok, he added. The program can also become an example for the community to manage their private homes optimally to gain financial benefits, he continued.

Furthermore, Bahri informed that all the residential facilities in Mandalika SEZ have been booked by MotoGP spectators.

The 2022 MotoGP series will take place at the Mandalika International Circuit in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) from March 18 to 20, 2022.
