"In a world increasingly divided by conflict, geopolitical rivalry, trade wars, and economic uncertainty, Indonesia has a strong foundation in Pancasila," he remarked at the 2026 Pancasila Day commemoration in Jakarta, on Monday.
According to him, current global conditions bring major challenges for many nations, including geopolitical competition and economic turmoil that influence stability and development.

However, he believes Indonesia has a strong foundation to face these challenges, as Pancasila is rooted in the nation’s history, experiences, and ideals that unite its diversity.
The head of state saw Pancasila as the foundation that enables the nation, comprised of hundreds of ethnic groups spread across thousands of islands, to remain united in one national goal.
"Pancasila is not just a historical document, and it should not merely be a slogan recited at every ceremony," Prabowo pointed out.
Pancasila must serve as the primary guideline in all aspects of national and state life, including political, legal, social, cultural, and even national economic development, he continued.
He added that Pancasila values also serve as the foundation for the government’s ongoing national economic transformation, ensuring that the benefits of growth are shared equally among the people.

The president then cited various programs such as food security, natural resource downstreaming, Free Nutritious Meals, and strengthening the rural economy through the Red and White Cooperative as part of efforts to ensure the benefits of development are not limited to only a handful of groups.
He is confident that Indonesia can stand as a respected nation, if all elements of society consistently implement Pancasila across all sectors of life.
"If we truly implement Pancasila in politics, law, culture, and especially in the economy, Indonesia will not only be a prosperous nation, but also respected by other nations," he said.
Prabowo then concluded by calling on all citizens to uphold and practice the values of Pancasila to realize a just, prosperous, sovereign, and dignified Indonesia.
