Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Primary and Secondary Education Ministry stated that the exhibition of works from the upskilling and reskilling training for vocational arts and culture teachers serves as a learning platform and recognition of their efforts.

Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Fajar Riza Ul Haq said the event, organized by the Center for the Development and Quality Assurance of Vocational Education in Arts and Culture (BBPPMPV) in Yogyakarta, is important to ensure vocational teachers continue developing skills that are relevant to labor market needs and technological advancements without abandoning originality in their creative work.

"Works of art are not merely products of creativity, but also carry meaning, values, and soul. Technology, including artificial intelligence, can be used to support the creative process, but creativity and authenticity must remain its core," he said in a written statement received here on Tuesday.

That spirit was reflected in the experiences of participants, including I Kadek Agus Satya Dwi Putra, an art teacher at State Vocational High School (SMKN) 1 Sukawati in Bali, whose painting was inspired by the concept of deep learning.

According to him, the child depicted in the painting symbolizes students who continue learning with the awareness of pursuing their dreams and a better future.

Its meaning is illustrated through the combination of culture and technology, such as traditional woven fabric paired with a laptop, symbolizing that local wisdom must be preserved while adapting to the changing times.

Meanwhile, a joyful learning atmosphere is visualized through the minister embracing a student, representing support for every child to grow with confidence in pursuing their future.

"Through this artwork, I want to illustrate that learning is not only about acquiring knowledge but also about fostering awareness, preserving culture, using technology wisely, and building students' optimism to achieve their dreams," Putra said.
