Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK) expects capital market fundraising to remain resilient through the end of 2026 despite global market headwinds, as a steady pipeline of public offerings and market reforms supports corporate financing and investor confidence.

“Although global market conditions continue to face various challenges, corporate interest in using the capital market as a source of funding remains strong,” Hasan Fawzi, the OJK’s chief executive for Capital Market Supervision, Financial Derivatives and Carbon Exchanges, said in a written statement on Wednesday (July 29).

Hasan said the resilience was reflected in the regulator’s pipeline of public offerings, indicating companies continue to seek funding through Indonesia’s capital market despite external uncertainty.

The regulator set an overall capital market fundraising target of Rp250 trillion (approximately US$13.88 billion) for 2026. As of June 30, 2026, total funds raised reached Rp125.7 trillion (US$6.98 billion).

As of July 20, 2026, the public offering pipeline included three initial public offering (IPO) registrations, two limited public offerings (PUT) with a maximum issuance value of Rp6.73 trillion (US$373.6 million), and four bond and sukuk processes valued at up to Rp5.25 trillion (US$291.4 million).

Hasan noted that the OJK is focusing on both achieving target values and advancing comprehensive market reforms.

"The capital market reforms we are currently implementing are an effort to build a stronger market foundation by improving the quality of issuers, strengthening liquidity, increasing transparency, strengthening governance and law enforcement, and expanding the investor base," he explained.

Hasan expressed confidence that boosting market credibility will ensure the capital market remains a competitive, healthy, and sustainable financing engine for Indonesia's economy.
