AirNav’s Indonesia Network Management Center is monitoring airspace conditions and volcanic ash movement while periodically updating aeronautical information to support flight safety.
Air navigation services are being adjusted according to conditions in each area, with ash distribution and airspace conditions continuously monitored to mitigate risks to flight operations.
AirNav is also coordinating with aviation stakeholders to ensure timely information on airspace conditions and navigation services, supporting operational decisions as conditions change.
Hermana said the network management center had intensified monitoring of Anak Krakatau’s ash distribution to support air traffic management and maintain timely flight safety information.
AirNav said information on airspace conditions and flight operations is communicated through aeronautical information services, including updated Notices to Airmen, or NOTAMs, as conditions evolve.
