Tangerang, Banten (ANTARA News) - Information and telecommunications expert Roy Suryo said the picture of Sony Laksono on his passport was 100 percent the same as that of Gayus Tambunan, former tax official currently being tried for involvement in a tax fraud case.

"I have conducted an examination and confirmed that the picture of Sony Laksono on his passport wearing a wig and fake whiskers is 100 percent Gayus Tambunan," he said when asked about it here on Wednesday.

He said he used three pictures of Gayus while he was watching a tennis match in Bali, while at the courtroom and another place for the examination.

All the photos of Gayus used for the examination are accurate and original because they were taken by professionals, he said.

Regarding the method he used for the examination Roy said he used multi-dimensional scaling.

Minister of Justice and Human Rights Patrialis Akbar meanwhile said that his team was now still conducting an investigation into the case.

The team has sent members to the East Jakarta immigration office, the Soekarno-Hatta airport, Gayus`s home and the home of Margareta.

Margareta is a five-year old child whose passport had been collected and later used by a man callimg himself Sony Laksono whose picture is similar to that of Gayus.

The minister said any immigration official involved in the case would be dealth with. If later a criminal case was found it would certainly be followed up, he said.

He promised to settle the investigation of the case this week. "If it is found later that they have conducted a criminal act they would be fired," he said.

He said the director general of immigration had been ordered to revoke Sony`s passport.
Gayus Tambunan was found watching an international tennis match in Bali in November while he was supposed to be in the police detention facility in connection with his involvement in a tax fraud case implicating big companies and government officials.(*)
