Batam (ANTARA News) - Hang Nadim airport in Batam has postponed all its scheduled flights to all destinations for one hour because the road to the airport was flooded at the height of an adult`s chest, the airports` spokesman said Monday.

He said hundreds of passengers were stuck in the floods, not able to arrive at their airport on time.

"I think a one-hour delay would suffice," he said, adding that the airline companies did not object to the unilateral decision of the airport.

To help the passengers stuck in the floods, Hang Nadim airport has prepared one big bus and a truck to transport all the passengers and their luggage and other belongings.

In the meantime, with regard to flights, visibility and wind speed are still conducive for the flights.

All the flights from many other areas to Batam remained steady.
