Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Kuwaiti Ambassador to Indonesia Nasser Bareh Al Enezi said Tuesday he and the Indonesian embassy in Kuwait had been trying to attract Kuwaiti investors to Indonesia.

Nasser made the statement when observing the 50th Kuwait`s Independence Day of the 20th anniversary of Kuwait`s liberation, in Jakarta.

He said without going into detail, Kuwait`s investment in Indonesia in 2009 and 2010 has increased and hoped this year would be the year of many Kuwaiti investors coming to Indonesia.

Kuwaiti investors were interested in transportation, informatics, banking, insurance and some other sectors which Indonesia have proposed.

Foreign investors need the Indonesian government to give facilities to change the regulations on the entry of the investors to Indonesia.

Nasser said Indonesia`s biggest commodities to Kuwait included plywood, cars, rubber and clothes as well some other commodities, while Indonesia`s imports from Kuwait reached 1.42 billion US dollars comprising oil and other products relating to oil.
